Thailand is one of the coolest places I think God created on this planet. The people are honestly the friendliest people I have ever met and their food, oooooo son you better not even get me started it is like a roller coaster of flavor in your mouth. There is one issue though, let’s see if you can figure it out from this conversation.

“Dude do you know what they said?”
“Nope. You?”
“Yeah…. I got nothin”
Yeah, trying to figure out their language is like a blind guy trying to read brail with no hands. I mean I have to ask people here to repeat their name like three times and then I need to say it another ten times with them correcting me and then I still end up messing it up. Other then that it is great here.

My team and I are located in the northern providence of Thailand called Nan. We are staying at a compound area called House of Grace. It was started about 11 years ago by Pastor Sa Man. It was originally his father property and when pastor inherited it he built House of Grace. It houses 20 girls all that were at high risk for being sold into human trafficking. Pastor is honestly one of the greatest men I have ever met in my life and after only 5 days here I would even go to say after my dad, he is a man I hope to grow up to be like. I am almost certain you will be hearing more about him in later blogs.
The land has 5 suburb house sized buildings, a soccer field, and my newly acquired home for the next two months which is one of the coolest situations I have ever been in. These next two months I am living in a small house with my brother Ryan. We have two solid beds, a closet, desk, fridge, and a connected bathroom with toilet and the mother of all luxuries a HOT SHOWER!! PRAISE HIM! Unless you have showered for two plus months in bone chilling you won’t understand how nice a warm shower truly is to have.

Our ministries over these next couple of months are shaping to be some of the coolest I have ever experienced. First, we are scheduled right now to teach English two times a week in a school. Now this may not sound all that glamorous but I am beyond excited to form some deep relationships with some of the students. I really hope that in having those relationships that God will set some divine appointments for some heavy conversations.

Second, we are scheduled to go two times a week up into the mountains and minister to the hill tribes that live there. I am not exactly sure on all of the specifications, but I do know there will be some serious spiritual warfare going on. The tribes believe that they have to please the spirits that live there so they can go about life and not be harmed. I have never had such close exposure to this before so if you were uncertain about what to pray for this is a area that needs TONS of prayer.
Third, are our girls here. This is a really ministry too simply because it is almost 24-7. We are living and doing life with these girls and have constant opportunity to love and care for each one of them. There is one day though that is made out specifically for them. Each Saturday we will go and visit the families of the girls or will spend the day here with the focus of loving on the girls. We haven’t seen their families yet so I am not sure what that is going to look like but it is such a cool opportunity to show them that their girls are being loved on.

I have only been here for less then a week and love and am excited for the ministry that is going to take place. As always prayers are more then appreciated and thank you so much for them all! Now I am off to have another amazing explosion of flavor in my mouth with some Thai food!
Sawasdee kop!
